Anyone else getting extreme lag times with creview.adbureau.net

Sometimes when I'm moving through the forums or the likes, sometimes I get lag times (up to about 45 seconds or so) before the rest of the page loads. Other times it's lightning fast. It's not just limited to a "first load" but randomly though out when I use the forums.

Wanted to see if I was the only one, or if others have encountered the same thing.

    Cheers,
    Greg

I'll look into that. Ads pay the bills and we can't live without them. But I know if they're holding up the pages too long they'll do more harm than good. Can please you give me a rough idea of how often it happens for you and if you can see any pattern to the lag?

Thanks for taking the time to give us some feedback!

    John,

I've had some big lag times lately too. However I didn't know what creview. meant so didn't reply earlier. I can't pinpoint the reason. A couple of times the smaller ads that jump out were giving me a problem as they wouldn't leave when I tried to x them out - they would just hang blocking my view. However, lately I can't see anything visible when I get the long lags. A couple of times it happened when I was trying to get on pr - I just tried later because it took too long.

I have that too Liz, makes me crazy, sometimes I close out and reopen it to see if it will move faster (usually doesnt) thought it was just me.

    Hi John,

I've tried to make note and notice some pattern to it, but nothing that I can put my finger on.... I understand that ads are unfortunate a necessary evil.

As for how often, it varies, the next time it happens I will make a note of the time and page. It's ironic, it happened enough that session it made me post about it, but from that point forward after the post, there was very little lag time. <go figure>

The way it's behaving, it's almost like the ad servers are overloaded. I'll make a note of the times and perhaps that might help track it down.
