5 min. to load a page

If I click on other sites they come up instantly but ours takes 5 min to come up. Yes I turned off the pop up blocker and it made no difference. What's going on? Jeff

{f you have any suggestions please E-Mail me because I don't know if I have the patients to get a PM.

Mine doesn't take quite as long, but it takes a very long time. Sometimes I try refreshing, but I'm not sure it helps. I'm not having a problem anywhere else either.

I guess I spoke too soon or the wood didn't work.

Since I deleted the temporary files, cookies and history on my computer I have had NO problems at all with bringing up any pages on our site. It was a very easy fix once I tried itto see if it would have any effect. Hope this might help some others that may have experienced this problem, Jeff

Anyone know what "phishing filter" is? This little active icon comes up as "phishing filter checking this website" every time I open a page here - but it never shows up on other websites. Is it something on my computer?

Yes, a phishing filter is for people who don't know how to be careful on the web.
Microsoft built one into IE7 and it's the first thing I switched off - before I replaced IE with FireFox.

phishing is fishing for private information.
Usually a fake website that looks like a legitimate one - but when you enter your email and password it is stored by the scammers.

Then they can sign in as you and wreak all kinds if havoc.
Of course if your password is the same on your email and online banking - that's a bad thing !

Slow-loading PhotographyREVIEW pages happen to me quite often - but only when using a certain OS.

With a different OS on another computer - absolutely rapid loading, and never had any problems.

    Paul,
Thanks - but why does the phishing filter activate when I'm trying to get into PR - but doesn't show up anywhere else? So is it a problem with my pc? Or my internet connection? Can it be a problem for me? If so, how do I get rid of it? I have IE 7

    Thanks for any help.
    Liz
