Test Photos with the Sigma 150-500mm f5-6.3

The lens arrived yesterday and I snuck out of the office for an hour yesterday and headed over to the Fullerton Arboretum. There wasn't much going on there, but I did manage to snap a few photos. Most all were shot at the 500mm end and all were hand held. The body was the Nikon D7000.

    Last three!

All in all, I am pretty happy with the image quality of this lens. As long as I have enough light and I work within the lens' limitations, it should work out great.

Congratulations on your new lens! GREAT shots. It looks like one sharp lens you got there! I love the turtle in the water with only part of his face showing. And the blades of wheat are beautiful! So sharp.

Thanks for sharing, keep shooting - and I hope to see more as you go along. :thumbsup

Convinced me! Now to start putting change in the jar..........

Wait, I don't use cash anymore, so I never get any change from anything??? How the hell am I s'posed to ever buy this thing???!?!?!

Yeah, that's a tad better than my Tamron abomination.
