National Geographic Traveler contest entries

I decided to put a couple of photos in the National Geographic Traveler 2012 Photo contest. Today is the last day to enter and I figured "what the heck?" and went for it.
Looks like a lot of tough competition out there.

Thanks! No filter whatsoever. That lens (Pentax DA 15mm Limited) is known for both it's flare resistance and nice 14 point starbursts when the conditions are right.
The conditions were right.
