    Merry Christmas From The Mountains!

My preferred way to celebrate the Holidays is with my skis on. As you can see below, Santa agrees with me

These were taken yesterday at Snowbasin ski resort, near Ogden, Utah.

Happy Holidays to all of you - even if you aren't able to celebrate with your skis on!

    Married!

On a side note - Snowbasin is also where Jenni and I tied the knot, this July. This is the first time we've been back since our wedding day. This photo was taken at the exact spot where it happened. I sure am a lucky guy

Here's the photo thread from our actual wedding: Got Hitched!

Merry Christmas as well, must be nice having a ski option, we don't get much snow in TX unfortunately.

Nice. I would have liked to but only skied the day before and the day after (on my new Dynafits! ). Christmas required including some non-skiers so we just hung out, eating and drinking for the actual holiday.

Looks like Snowbasin are making the best of this lean season.

Oh, and Merry Christmas and happy New Year from some other mountains!

Merry Christmas to you too, Matt! These were actually taken a couple of days before Christmas but we skied on Christmas day, too.

You got new Dynafit bindings? I need to try those. I've got Marker Barons on my BC skis and they're great. But I'm sure they're beefier than I need. I am curious about whether I would feel any real difference with the Dynafits.

Yes, I got myself a gift of the new Radical ST on some G3 Soulfires for a new touring setup. It's my first AT binding (I've been exclusively a Telemark skier for the last decade) so I can't compare to your Markers, but they sure are nice and light. I've also had them a couple of days at Monarch and they seem to do well in the area too.
I have a bone spur that might make me unable to tele anymore (without surgery) so I'm also thinking about picking up a pair of Barons for my bigger skis (currently mounted tele) as a resort setup. It's been fun to lock the heel again and I'm having fun with it.
