    Chocky, interesting looking bird. Never having seen one, nor heard the name and being the curious type that I am by nature...I googled it and found the following for us across the pond - interesting on its relationship to cormorants.

    Yes they are slightly smaller that Cormorants and in breading season the mail has a nice crest .
    These birds are all related to the Pelican
