    LA Union Station: which version?

I took some shots while waiting for our train, and as I get to know Camera Raw better, I'm finding less need for photomatix when that's the goal. Version 1 is basically just an adjusted image with the foreground being replaced, and version 2 is the photomatix version. Thoughts?

Definitely #1. Really nice shot. Can you fix the highlights on the chairs, though?

    Foreground replaced?

Overall I like version 1 better, but I like the way version 2 shows a bit more even exposure across the ceiling. Making that adjustment in Camera raw is fairly easy though, using the adjustment brush to target specific areas. Beautiful capture!

Good to hear it's an overall good catch. The replaced foreground was just a darker layer. The highlight on the chair is pretty blown though.

I agree--#1. The people in the scene should be the subjects, not the bench.

I really like the first one. The colors seem more vibrant.

The one on the left. Shun anyone who says otherwise.

definitely number 1 for me. i like the contrast and the strength of colour there. the 2nd one looks a bit washed out.
