Sunny Day (Warning - Transparent Clothing)

Taken pretty recently at a model shoot. C&Cs welcome. I think the scene has a lot of impact but, not sure.

    Uh...maturity switch on...
I'd clone out that telephone pole or whatever it is on the left side of her hat.

Excellent. Love the processing. I was wondering if cloning out the red whatever it is behind would help. Maybe, maybe not.

Definitely clone out the telephone pole.

I would consider lightening her up, to make her pop even more, but that's up for debate.

All of the above are suggestions to potentially make a great image even better.

the shade on her face is a bit dark, apparently you had a reflector on your left, and a bit of fill flash would fix the shade on her face

U nailed the lighting in this one. the only thing that bothers me is the wooden thing on the left side. other than that excellent.

I like the shade. Adds major character to this shot.

Re: Sunny Day (Warning - Transparent Clothing)

    Thanks for the replies.

N8, Dray - I didn't even notice that little telephone pole. Good eye !

Dray, not sure if removing that (what looks like a) metal object would matter. If she was lying on a very perfect field like the kind people have picnics on, definitely, but not sure here. A toss up. I agree - more contrast is needed. Btw the idea for the colors and all was via another photographer, who may have been her agent (but that's another story). He did a great job.

Armando - Another excellent idea. You're right about the light on her right side. I think that her left side of her face should be lighter than it is, maybe keeping a little difference in left/right just not as much as we have here (so you and Dray are BOTH right ).

Liban - THanks, she was a great model. She and I didn't hit it off 100% but with 30 or so photographers running around, barking ideas and "Look over here!"s, tempers can get a little frayed. Maybe I'll get the chance to work with her again. She has some excellent work in other photographers' ports.

natural lighting is nice..but to make the model stand out more is light this girl up with a few kickers on both sides and a light modifier in front.... it would bring out her beautiful skin tone.
