    Sugarpine Thunder

Hello everyone. I was finally able to get out and do some shooting again. Here is my local lake the other day at sunset. Any critiques always appreciated.

that second shot is outstanding. That one needs a frame and a large space on your wall for sure. The range of colours and the composition are spot on. Excellent eye and nice shooting.

    wow, such a beautiful sunset!!!

both images are great, I prefer the first one, maybe just because the second one is way smaller .... even when a much wider view

    Re: Sugarpine Thunder

Thanks everyone! I wasn't expecting a sticky, thanks for that as well. Here are a few more I took that same day. It gives an idea on the transition to the final shot. I'm glad i stuck around until it was dark. The sky was dull in color for most of the time I was there shooting. The last half hour before sunset was when the magic happened and the sky bloomed with color.

I think these shots are great. As is often the case with shots like this the sky is a little grainy. Noise reduction software would smooth it up a bit. Not strictly sure if it would improve them.

I saw these photos a day ago and wanted to come back to it to comment. I was wondering where they went!

congrats on a well deserving sticky. The light moods and landscapes are amazing, beautiful clouds also.

Great catch, CH. This is what landscape photography is all about, getting out there and capturing incredible lighting and scenes. I like them all, though the bottom one in the first posting is best put together as far as composition and tonality.
