It's not about the camera; but in the case of my favourite it, #4, it is about the dust spots
I have the same problems with my 1DmkIIN and 1DSmkII at small apertures, no matter how often it's cleaned by my local Pro dealer, or even at Canon UK service centre.
It's about the only thing that would induce me to upgrade at the moment, the dust reductino system in the newer bodies.

One of the reasons I positively despise my D-200 is that it is a complete dust whore. I spend as much time keeping the sensor clean and removing dust spots in post as I do anything else it seems. Further annoyed by the fact it was replaced with the d-300 3 months after I bought the *^*$#ing thing. I only have one body and by the end of a day swapping lenses on the moto there is little to do except plan on post processing .. a *&^% load.

PS I posted that one and re-uped it.... It was far worse than it looked.

I can't imagine changing lenses on the back of the moto!
Well I can, and it includes me falling off
What focal length range do you need working from there?

Thanks for sharing these! I like that first one a lot although I think cropping it tighter would make it stronger. I also like the one with Hood in the background. That one could use some exposure adjustment. I think it's about a stop on the dark side. It also has wayyy too much empty sky so playing with crops would be a good idea.

    Re: Cascade Classic (Pro cycling)

Changing is a bitch and I only do it moving if I absolutely have to (and only when I absolutely trust my pilot). Mostly it's a very fast roadside change and remount. I can mount a flash while moving. I use an 16-85 VR and an 80-200 on a D-200 DX body. I have a rented D-700 and a 70-200 VR on the way for Tour Of Utah. No switching this race, and a lighter load out on the moto. Two bodies is the ideal way to do this, but owning two is still somewhat of a pipe dream.
As to cropping these.... The point of three (with Mt Bachelor in the background) is to express the openness of the terrain as well as the tight grouping of riders, although a bit off the left..... It is likely is a bit under, I was lit with fill, and I 'm still working out how to make that work best. It's still somewhat hit and miss. The first one might be a stronger comp with just the rider, but everyone is shooting that composition, I liked diffuse background give it a scene of location. Although I can see where cropping just under the bars, and a bit off the left will help it a bunch...

And I really have to stop in more frequently, that's two features this summer that I almost didn't get to see...
    Thanks Captain!
