    Castle

Climbed to the top of Edinburgh's gothic rocket between rain showers today to get this shot.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Very nice shot. May be a little dark over all, Jeff

    Re: Castle

Thanks for commenting Jeff, the dark aspect was intentional as I find these places rather grim and foreboding. Do you think its a bit over done ?

I would probably keep the sky as is and open up a little bit on the castle. If for no other reason than to reveal a bit more of the castle details. The splash of sun in the foreground is a nice touch. Lovely town, isn't it?

    Wow! Gorgeous, love the photo!

I was there once, and this is way more colorful than I remember it

I think you captured a great moment, with the light on the hill and the stormy clouds in the background, my only suggested improvement would be to increase the contrast a bit , only on the castle and rock walls

I would love to see a bigger version of this

    Re: Castle

I don't think its too dark at all for the very reasons you mention. I would love to see a series of the same subject in different times of the day, seasons, etc. taken from the same perspective.
Is it a hard shot (physically, I think I mean) to take, especially from the same perspective?
