    Across a Bridge

Old subject but other side. What do you think of the crop and there are two people on the other side should I clone the one on the right giving it a more lonely feel. I am on a back up monitor if it seems soft. The Original is tack sharp, just in case this one isn't.

    Re: Across a Bridge

    Eeeek, Greg and a bridge.........

I like the two people together but I would like just a bit of separation between them. The composition is pleasing to me and it's sharp on my monitor. The dude wearing his red jacket was perfect choice for your photo.

    Re: Across a Bridge

I like it. If the guy wasn't warning the read jacket I probably wouldnt have even seen them. I think my favorite part of this shot is that it almost looks black and white and that the warning signs and the guy stand out. Almost feels like the warning signs are telling him to becareful about on what is on the other side

    Re: Across a Bridge

OMG! A bridge. I see you stayed back a bit.
Only tiny nit I have is that I'd like the people to be closer, maybe on the end of the bridge.

    Re: Across a Bridge

I like it. Those are wee little people. I don't think it makes a difference whether there are one or two. If you put your finger over the people, you realize that they are an important element, even though they take up such little space in the frame.

Thanks for sharing. I have a few of my own shots up for critique should you care to comment.

    Re: Across a Bridge

I think the people at the far end of the bridge are very important, they could even be the subject. This is nice and contrasty, and very sharp.

Looking backwards at this(hindsight is always perfect)I would have taken it standing farther back with a longer lens to shorten the length of the bridge and bring the couple closer to you. The first thing I said in my mind when I saw this was that I'd like to see more of the people.

    Re: Across a Bridge

Thanks Paula, I was careful.LOL kobrien, Frog, LL, EOS, Thanks. This side of the bridge is tough. You can't tell it here but I am standing on a steep hill and that hill prevevts shooting from a lot of different angles. One thing bothering me though is I think it needs equal space on both sides. I will probably go back and correct that. Thanks again.

I like it just like it is and think the people give you a perspective of the size of the bridge, Jeff

Well, if there's a hill there, and a bridge....Then you are banned from photographing there again! You and hills and bridges have a bit of history you know. ;)

    Re: Across a Bridge

I don't think you should clone out one of the people as there seem two of most elements in the picture and one person would look out of place. Also its quite sharp on my monitor. Nice shot Greg

    Re: Across a Bridge

    Greg,

I bet just out of picture are all the people the family insisted on you taking with them, rescue services, mountaineering team tied onto you, helicopter ambulance... By the way the tracks look as if someone veered away from you.

As for the photo, I would not change a thing. I like the lack of symmetry because it actually balances the photo because of the road going off to the right after the bridge.

    Re: Across a Bridge

Bridge by Greg is a scary subject

Nice and sharp ! I like the people and how the lines of the bridge point toward them

I'm guessing you used a small aperture and focused probably around the beginning of the bridge ?

    Hand held ?
