Made it out for a pre shoot/ get acquainted with the area today for a shoot next weekend. Weather and lighting was ok today, I hope for the same next weekend. It was nice to get out and shoot moving subjects!

Nice, Jimmy! Looks like you've got some pleasant weather for this time of year. Is this a city-sponsored bike park or is it on private property? It's good to see more and more bike parks popping up. I like the second photo the best. There's no air but the focus on the rider's face makes it for me. I think the jump photos all need a little more context. I'd like to see the landing, takeoff and/or some of the spectators. A rider in the air doesn't quite do it for me.

Nice work! I agree with John's comments. I would also like to add that the tree trunk in the third photo is kind of distracting to me. What ever you did differently in the fourth shot helped make the trunk less distracting, though. Maybe it had something to do with the wider focal length or the motion you used to pan?

Comments well taken. I think i will try personally backing up and use the 24-70 this weekend weather permitting. if i go to the other side of the jump the sign will get in the way but will have the spectators. I would like to get more of the berm action on some of the runs out there.
PJ it is private property owned by a church. The church and the local bike club have been able to make it happen so far!

That's great! We need more private property owners and public land managers that are willing to work and make this kind of thing possible. It's good for everyone!
