    4X4 trials

Some shots of one of the vehicles competing in a 4x4 trials event. The object being to make it as far as possible through a marked course. Although not long, the courses are VERY challenging technically. Plus a few speed sections are added for variety.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Why the safety frame rule are so strictly observed. He carried on after this to win the event over 91 other competitors.

Very nice. I would say number 2 is my favorite. I like the mud flying.

I like #3 for the action.
I think #2 is lacking something - I would have wanted #2 shot wider, pointing down into where he came from. Or perhaps shot from the side with the car leaping over the ridge in the upper 1/3 again showing the ditch he came from.

Thanks for commenting guys Points noted Paul and Mitch. The ground slope is actually steeper than portrayed in these photos , to get the angle right in #2, I would have to have decapitated the spectators.Yes the wheels are working hard but they work much better when they are on the ground...

Cools shots. I have a rock crawler I built and run the Rubicon trail with. These guys bring it to the next level. Gotta love it!!

    Nice pictures!

I like that there is open space with just grass you can actually do some composition.

I went to a 4x4 event recently, the place was rocky with steep inclines, there were so many spectators that I could only do zooms of the cars, the photos were done with little to no scenery as I did not want to show the crowd.
