Bamboo Forest, Hana Maui

I think this is cool -- how can any photo of Maui not be?? I like the strong lines of the photo with the softening effect of the ferns. The one very bright spot on the fern left of center is a little distracting, and the darkness and lack of detail on the shoot in the center cuts the photo in half. My inexperienced eye can't define what might have made the difference in this, but perhaps with a deeper DOF and a little softer sunlight or maybe a reflector to brighten the darkest spots would have made a really great photo. My two cents.
