    Re: Something a little unusual

I like the flower and I'm usually not against nature's realism but in this case I fine the leaf at bottom distracting because of its flaws and the tip of the top left one, too.
Whether its worth some cloning work to repair or eliminate the leaf, I don't know.
    Nice and sharp though!
    Keep Shooting!

I like the color contrast, and all the conflicting angles. Not as bothered by the flawed leaves.

    Re: Something a little unusual

Thanks Frog and Jetrim for taking a look and leaving your comments, they are very much appreciated. All comments are welcome.

Everyone looks at things in their own way and have different ideas and that to me is the main focus of the critique forum. I always look at a photo first and try to see what I like and dislike about it and then read the other comments to get different points of view.

On this photo I did eliminate a leaf and let these remain because I thought it added something, kind of like a rose among thorns type of thing. To me in a strange way the leaves emphasizes how nice the flower looks. I am always interested in hearing different views and ideas because many times it makes me look at things differently. Often after reading the other comments I find that things were pointed out that makes me even examine closer the next photo I look at, Jeff

it looks soft to me, but that might be my eyesight.
Did it degrade in the size reduction?
Maybe it could do with a little USM.

I to think the large tattered leaf a the bottom is distracting.

PAul, everything I post is much softer that the original. I have a thread in the help forium asking how to make the pictures that I post have some detail in them so if you have any suggestions please feel free to tell me how to do it right. I don't have any trouble posting pictures it is just keeping the detail that seems to elude me, Jeff

Thread in the help forum is here.
