    Drift Mania Canadian Championship

2 days of drifting... wow what a weekend.

With the assistance of one of the amateur drift teams I was granted track side access. I figure if I get a few more smaller series knowing who I am I should be able to start getting the larger series to let me in as well.

So here's my 6 favourite shot from teh day:

    Thanks for looking.

    Re: Drift Mania Canadian Championship

These guys aren't pouring smoke off the tyres, which is what I thought of as a signature of drifting. At this amateur level, are these cars lacking in power, or do they just not have the budget for a new set every run ?

A combination of both SW. They are mostly running on their own dime and tires get expensive. The cars are also a little lower on power than the pro level but the lack of smoke is mostly from the tires they are running. The pro's get the nice colour smoke tires and everything.
