    pit pass - homestead-miami raceway

Let me preface this by saying Paul (smart wombat) after a day at the races, I have a much greater appreciation for the phenomenal racing shots you post! Being a non-sports photographer, this was surprisingly hard to get good shots (and that was following all the advice I've read from you)! Here are a few of my favorites from today:

...and what's a day at the races without "track babes"

Interesting, those Fuji images have a totally different character from my Canon.
If you can get a pass for the last IRL race of the season at Miami it'd be interesting to compare the same shots.

I think you'd get better results outside in all that nice sun if you turned the ISO down from 400 to the lowest setting. These look a little noisy.

I can certainly look into it, but no promises as our "connection" was the FARA Official, not a speedway employee. You going to be there for that race, or just want to compare shots from prior visits? (If you'll be in Miami, at the very least, it'd be great to have lunch one day )

Yeah, that was my mistake. I had bumped the ISO for shots inside the garages, early in the day, and forgot to turn it back down upon venturing outside to turn 4 (where the track shots were taken - if you're familiar with this track, you know where I was, at the western most cutout in the fence before it breaks into the inside straightaway)

We plan to be there for the Indy Lights race.
Hopefully we'll have passes like we did at St Pete, but that's down to Plowey

I've done the ISO mistake lots of times, concentrating on the subject not the settings
