    This afternoon in Washington DC...

I did the tourist thing today and took tourist pics. I'm so over car shows at this point that I didn't take any in Philly or DC except what I was paid to! (And I almost filled a card, so it was quite a lot.) Two shots of the Washington Memorial, and one of some random bananas on a bench. Go figure! (Of course, I took a Holga shot of the bananas...)

    Looks like fun.

Random bananas on a bench is prime Holga material. Can't wait to see that one.

Second one is primo Megan. Beautifully composed. Glad your getting the chance to travel. It's been about ten of twelve years since my last trip to Washington. I'm ready to go back. It's a great city.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Thanks! I wanted to take an interesting photo of the Washington Monument, but how to do that to a large obelisk set in a field with nothing around it to frame it, and something photographed by so many on a daily basis? I'm sure that what I did has been done over and over, but... what can you do.

I'm so glad that the city warmed up on Saturday... it was 20 degrees F the day I arrived. Ouch.

A very tough time of day to shoot the Monument, you did good.
    No, I DON'T need that.
