    Re: Forrest in Norway

Welcome to the forums. It's a little hard to believe that nobody has commented on this shot yet, as it has many very good elements. I really like the color cast, shadows, and general scene. I am not sure about how that branch cuts across (horizontally).. In general this is OK, but it seems very out of place when compared to the rest of the scene. Finally, I think it might be nice to see some footprints at the bottom, but not sure: this would distract from the naturalness of the scene.

You guys have some incredible opportunities there. We almost never get snow. Keep shooting.. I want to see more

I also like the color and even the business as I've seen similar scenes in my own woods tramping. I see a trail of footprints so not sure where GB1 wants them and the horizontal doesn't bother my eye.
Nice shot and welcome to the forums.

George Zimbel: Digital diahhrea is a disease for which there is a simple cure. Take one frame of a scene. It is exquisite training for your eye and your brain. Try it for a month. Then try it for another month…then try it for another month…..

    Nice shot Rasmus!

Warm feeling on a cool day.

As far as the footprints...I'd prefer not to see any. It would be a little more natural and pure IMO.

    Nice color, great shot!

I think you did a great job exposing the shot and getting as much detail in the foreground shooting straight at the sun. I do feel it could use another element to set it off, but well done here.

Welcome to our site. I like this very much and think in a strange way the horizontal tree makes the picture. Looking forward to seeing more of your work, Jeff

Great shot, I'd crop a bit on the left to just after the thick tree, I think it would help the horizontal branch. It must be tough to photograph in the snow with the sun out, harsh. S

The star-shine of sun coming through really makes this shot special. I only wish the sky had been a deeper blue, for me, that would have set this off perfectly. Please let us see more of your Norwegian forest soon.
