    Cyclocross Day 2

    Here's a few from today's race. C&C appreciated.

4 I tried to setup my 350D as a remote again, this time with it's own flash. The only way to do that is use my ebay trigger for the flash on the 350 and fire everything else with my Skyports. Unfortunately the ebay trigger was just too unreliable so I decided to shoot the 350D w/o flash.

Tad, the last shot seem more natural with out the flash. On some of the others the flash seems really bright on the faces of the riders. Glad you got out to do some shooting.

I agree about the bright flash on the faces, I would suggest a diffuser.
I like the way the flash is concentrated in the upper half of the image, so that there is motion in the legs. Very effective.

Thanks. Yeah now that you mention it, the flash was a bit hot. I was trying to light just the upper body and get some motion in their legs which did work out pretty well. I would've liked the last one better with at least some fill flash though. Plus it wasn't the angle I wanted, but I couldn't find a better place to put the remote camera where it wouldn't get run over.
