Number one isn't a bad action shot but he player on the far right and the dead space on the left could be cropped.
Number two is a good, basic player photo that would work well for event shooting in which parents buy their kids photographs.
Number three isn't too bad but you can't see the ball and the two defenders aren't doing too much.
Number four is a good action photo but the ball carrier is soft in this image. A higher shutter speed or less camera shake?
The last one is alright but it's just two linemen going at it and you can't see the face of the one on the right.

#1 is my favorite, but I agree with fidgety about the need to crop. IMO, it would work better as a vertical shot if it can be cropped that way.
Others are all good, with good sharpness and color, but getting the ball and the players' faces in the picture in those that don't have them would make them even better. Having shot several football games myself though, I know that that is easier said than done.
As for the lack of responses to your thread, I recently posted a thread with quite a few of my own football pictures in it and with almost 70 views, the only response I've gotten so far is from a friend of mine I e-mailed the link to.
