Teacups!!

My favorite ride in all of Disneyland. This shot was premeditated as I had to plan ahead and make sure I had everything set ready to go (flash, rear sync, slow enough shutter for motion blur..). Thanks for looking!

Oh yeah, these are my coworkers Michele and Adam.. Shhh.. Don't tell anyone we called out sick to go to Disneyland..

Re: Teacups!!

I love it! The whole setup has worked really well.

Wish I could call in sick to go to Disney Land

Re: Teacups!!

You did well setting it up and knowing what you wanted. Did some shots come out with more chopped body parts or half a face? The woman's arm is chopped a bit but I don't think it hurts and may actually help as it shows how fast you had to grab the shot.

I haven't been on the teacups since 1954. Don't remember seeing you there ;-)

Yep, many many shots with half a face, half a person, etc.. Extremely difficult to shoot while getting spun around like that. I couldn't even get the camera to my eye to compose. I had to pretty much shoot blindly and hope one or two turned out..

Re: Teacups!!

Absolutely superb, such a tricky shot to capture and you did it perfectly, I love it, it brought a smile to my face, it delivers an instant hit of fun and enjoyment.

Just one tiny thing that I've noticed, check the color cast, the colors look just a bit cool on the blueish side,it might have been the flash.

Well done.

Re: Teacups!!

I won't tell! (The boss/employer code is pretty loose as we play hooky more than we admit, too!)

A little preparation and planning goes a long way as this shows. It might have used a bit more blur to show the spin and rotation or an aggressive camera angle could enhance the effect even more.

Fun photograph that you have shared!

Re: Teacups!!

Great fun in this shot, thanks to your good set up and planning. The motion blur, wide angle distortion and your friends expressions make this alot of fun to view.
Worth the day off . . .
