    Re: My weekend

Sunday, have the camera and tripod in car ready to go to the Evergreen state fair, Phone rings, My brother in law has had an accident and has been airlifted to Harbor View Hospital in Seattle. He fell off a ladder in the shop, ladder broke a window on the way down, and he got his forearm on the broken window. 3 + hours in surgery, He is home and resting and has a long road back to recovery. He will bounce back !
Made the best I could with thview I had from the parking lot at hospital.

With Bro inlaw home Sharon and I got to the fair today with Justin. I did too much slow shutter speed trying today, most will get tossed. I made sure to make it to the Swine barn.
Thanks for looking hope I didn't over do it?

    Re: My weekend

Wonderful group of pictures Jimmy. Some very creative work! Loved that pool table shot and the farris wheel. Looks like Justine had a great weekend too. However the one thing I saw missing was there wasn't a race car or truck in site. Great to have a weekend off I'll bet.

Oh and it looks like the practice you got in in KY really paid off on the night shots. Nice work.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Nice!

    Jimmy-
No such thing as too many slow speed photos! The only way you get good ones is by taking a lot at all kinds of shutter speeds. I am not a conservative photographer and I throw away tons of photos. I believe risky photography pays off in the long run. And the first fiar photo is really nice. That one right there made it all worth while - at least I think it did :-)

I like the baby bacon photos, too

Hope your bro-in-law is ok. Is that the sister that lives in Black Diamond and if so did you go to their backery. Man they have doughnuts to kill for.
I remember when the Smith Tower was the tallest building in Seattle and I know once it was tallest on West Coast.
I agree with PJ that ferris wheel shot made your experimenting worth while.
    Keep Shooting!

Great group of photos! The last one is precious and I love the piggies, especially the one that looks like he is looking at you! When will you be in Dixie?

    Re: My weekend

Thanks for looking: OT We can never get enough night time shooting in! look at the second Fair shot, on the right hand side is turn 2 of the local track:-)
PJ: spent too much time reading through B. Peterson's new book on shutter speed figured I would give it a whirl. Need a lot more practice at it to feel good about them......
Frog: never been to the bakery, I have been by it many times never stopped in. Bro inlaw doing good:-)
Lori:Justin had a good time! That one pig shot was the only cooperative pig in the bunch.
I will be in dixie on 10/3 more on that soon!!
