    Local Kickboxing

    This is my 1st picture post with the new camera (Nikon D700), was invited last minute and had not saved enough for the nikkor 70-200mm 2.8, so I grabbed a 70-300mm 4-5.6G for $140 as I didn't want to waste money on the 70-300mm VR.

    Also, this being my 1st dSLR and too many things to learn, I worried so much about ISO I forgot about shutter speed... most of the action shots were trashed.

    Looks really difficult with the cage in the way.
    Like trying to shoot cars through crash fencing.

    Longest focal length, widest aperture, closest to the cage seems to get the best result.

    With the cage painted black it's less noticeable than sunlit grey fencing.
    If only they 'd used matt black instead of gloss ...

    Love the jub shot you have as the last one. What a pain shooting through chain link but what else you gonna do?
