Nice series Lori. I can remember when my daughter practiced what seemed like 24/7 for a rope jumping contest in elementary school. She was very disappointed when she came in second. However by the time she was in middle school she was female athlete of the year at the annual awards day. So a guess that early determination and practice did pay off.
