    Tom x 2

Visited the Nature Center today. I would have liked to have been down lower but had to shoot from behind the glass in the viewing area.

    Critique appreciated.

ha...these things look funny ... very cool birds with great color....but I think they should be centered....that wood thing does nothing for this photo, except for take away from the birds....maybe sho0t at a lower angle too, although I am not sure how often you encounter these things....maybe a crop will do for now.

Thanks for the suggestions. Here in the Ozarks these aren't too rare a beast, but seldom do you catch them putting on quite such a display.

Wow, this is different, even funny. How did you get such a great shot of Bush and Chenney? (lol). They almost seem like they're obeying your orders to go over there and stand up straight for a photo. I didn't know turkeys were so obedient!

It's a good shot btw but I wonder if there was another angle where you could have gotten a more supportive background. If you were limited by glass, and probably a viewport, probably not. It's good for what it is though. Might also be able to use them as source material for a future collage/ cut and paste expt.

I think its a not bad shot at all, you some how impressed the birds for them to show off like that, we have a protected park not far out of city limits where they roam free,i have several shots even three females with their chicks running amuck,. I would of like to see a more side view of their beaks and beards with all their splendid coloring.perhaps more at their level would make the perfect shot.

Alas, I cannot take any credit for that. Nature and the four hens in the vicinity were the toms' impetus for the show.

I love the composition of this. You obviously thought about it. The vivid contrast of the birds against the background really works. Of course I think it would be better if that pole grate thing weren't there, but hey. Is there a little too much green--a green bias to he color or is that me?

I'm thinking it is actually "Tom x 3" and you need a tighter crop as all the stuff on the left adds nothing and reduces the impact of the birds on the viewer.
    No, I DON'T need that.
