    Huff and Puff at 60

Well I kind of felt like the big bad wolf as I huffed and puffed to get the candles out. I had a wonderful weekend as the my family had one suprise after another for me on my 60th birthday. Just wanted to share with my PR family one of the wonderfull moments from my birthday.

Happy Birthday, from the looks of it, it was a good one.

I particularly love cheesecake. Just saying.

Thanks for the Birthday Wishes everyone! Didn't really realize what a milestone 60 was until I achieved it. I have four wonderful children that I had told long before my birthday that I didn't need or want anything but them on my birthday. They all showed up to help me celebrate even from as far away as Texas. They didn't honor my wish for no presents though. And Steve you will appreciate this, they decided to get me a bottle of 60 year old Scotch to celebrate with but then thought better of it and instead each got me a bottle of 15 year old Scotch (you do the math 15 X 4 = ??). Who could ask for more. I do love my family! Here are the four orginals (1) all 13 of us together (2) and the birthday present (3).

Very nice! I recognize three of them (well, Balvenie 12 anyway ). Great that you had everyone there to celebrate with you, and I'm guessing the cheesecake is gone...

Happy Birthday Larry. What a great surprise to have the whole crew out for the party. I just hit 49 nine days ago and the damn AARP already sent me an application. I don't think they should be allowed to contact you by law until you hit 65, the rats.

Yep your right the cheese cake is gone. I ate the last piece tonight while watching the Kentucky basketball game. Oh and I have sample two of the Scotchs so far. Both were excellent.

Almost seems anticlimactic to wake up the second day after your birthday. Seems like life goes on... Well lets hope it does for a while longer, there are still Nikons out there I don't own and lenses I just have to have.

Seriously thanks to all for the many birthday wishes both on PR and off. They are all very much appreciated.

Happy belated birthday. You have a nice looking family there. Either your one daughter lives way down south, or she spends a lot of time in the tanning booth.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY my friend!

and I can confirm that you do not look your age at all!

These are wonderful pictures of you and your family. Thanks for sharing your special day with us. So nice to see them all - the 6 of you - together and then to see the entire crew. A worthy tribute for a great husband, dad, daddy-in-law, and granddad.

Sorry this is a day late! To make up for it, I'll share these flowers with you for your birthday. I was busy with 'our' member of the family clicking a few window lit shots yesterday. (I miss my tripod as it's stuck in my car in a mechanic's garage over three hours away.)

I love the math the kids did. Very clever!

    -Cathy.
