    Rusty Barrel Re-visited

I got a chance to swing by and grab a few more frames of this and I like the results much better than the last time. What do you think?

    Thanks,
    Joe

Might just be my personal taste but I think it needs another element.
Maybe a flower sticking out of one of the holes or something.

Of course it's your opinion, that's what this forum is all about and exactly what I'm looking for by posting here. For my taste a flower wouldn't do it but you have now given me some other ideas. Thanks Frog.

    Joe,
100 percent improvement over the previous one. This is an abstract and (I think) should be treated as such. Personally, I don't need a reference point to see what it is. For me, it's enough that the colors are bright, there is a strong texture and an interesting composition. Your persistence and patience paid off.

    Re: Rusty Barrel Re-visited

    Nice work.

I think it's better than the last one in many respects. The detail and the overall illumination is better, but I also think that it is too bright on the far right side, getting very close to being blown out actually (on my home monitor). I think it is also a bit better with some of the bottom cropped out, and then some of the right. I adjusted my browser size to visualize it and to me it gets to the pt faster.

Much improved from the previous version. It does appear as if you applied a little too much sharpening to this web version. It is a bit bright on the right side, but if you were to apply a mulitply layer at about 25% over this one you should get a nice result.
    Good work.
