    Nikon d80 instructional DVD

Are there any good Nikon D80 instructional DVD's? There are several out there but which one is the best and worth spending the money on? I have gone through the D80 digitutor and a few online videos but I am wondering if there is a really good DVD I can get? What I am looking for is something on the D80 and not just a digital photography DVD, Jeff

    Hello Grandpaw

Here is a question I can answer with absolute certainty. I purchased two DVDs for the D80 and the one that I feel covers the camera thoroughly with clear explanations is the Magic Lantern DVD Guide. They also publish a guide in book form written by Simon Stafford which covers the topics in greater detail. After watching the DVD I was impressed at how much of the material made sense to me and retained in my brain. I became a D80 guru in a couple of hours. The price for that DVD is $24.95 and for the book is $19.95

    I hope this helps.

    Re: Nikon d80 instructional DVD

I bought the book at B & N on the way to the airport last week. I had an early flight to Orlando and late coming back. I pretty much had the row to myself, so I spread out with my D80 and book and went through some key operation procedures during the flight. Having had the camera only 2 weeks (and it being my first DSLR) I was on a quest to accelerate the learning curve as much as possible.

If the DVD is as informative as the book, it's in the bag for me tomorrow!

Jorge, thanks for the information on the DVD and book. I would be curious what the name of the other DVD you didn't like is and why so I can be sure not to get it also, Jeff

Anyone have another suggestion of a DVD or guide for the D80

    Hello GrandPaw

I didn't like the other DVD because it is not that well organized and further it does not cover the camera fully. I found its organization confusing and hard to follow. I am sorry, I am not providing the name of the DVD, because I got rid of it a while ago and I didn't care to remember.
