    Child Innocence

Trying a little B/W. Not much indoors when raining.

    Re: Child Innocence

For me I find it a little dark. Was the lens flare intensional?

But over all a good photo.

Yes flare was done by me. Wanted a softer look. Here is original.

    Re: Child Innocence

I must say I like the B&W better than the original.

I like the b/w. Dark but it doesn't bother me. Could be a child from almost any generation that had electric lights.

Nice pose but way too dark and I think the completly black area on the right adds nothing to the image.
    No, I DON'T need that.

    Re: Child Innocence

I agree the b&w edit is too dark. I think you can crop off the right side of the photo into a square crop to eliminate the black area to the right. Also, be careful of the things in the background when taking a shot. The ladder to the bunkbed looks to be coming out of the subjects head. A different angle would have positioned the ladder away from the subject. You could remove the ladder in photoshop if you wanted.
I actually prefer the color in this one. The b&w somehow does not make this feel like we are back in time, but the colors give me the feeling of a childs room especially the bright cartoonish colors of his pajamas. The colors bring to me more the feeling of a child's innocence.
