    Shallow Depth of Field

It's a long story, but I recently discovered that my first "real" camera still works. These shots were taken with a Minolta X-370 and a Vivitar 135mm f2.8 lens on Tri-X film. I had to take advantage of the shallow DOF that this lens is capable of, because I don't have any other lenses that are this long and fast.

If you have your own shallow DOF shots you'd like to add, please do. I was thinking that might make an interesting thread. I don't care what lens or what f-stop, as long as part of the shot is clearly out of focus.

Continuing with the cat theme. My daughter's cat Pumpkin shot with the Tokina 100mm/2.8 macro at about f/4 or so. His eye is dead on and focus starts to go at his whiskers and from the ear back.

Nice shots Paul I really like the cat one. Hopefully the scanner I order will get here soon as I have some good shallow DOF shots from my Canonet but, in the meantime, here's 2 of my favs...
