    recommendations??

My first ball game. That is, the first one I've ever seen and the first time trying to get some shots.

Any help on what I'm doing wrong would be appreciated.

PS. For Baseball fans, that pitcher is Damian Moss, former RedSox pitcher.

Shoot, Payn......looks like you don't need any help from me. I should be getting help from you. Right now, I can't get out of my own way.

    Payne,
Not a bad start there. A bit of post processing on the darker shots would help but otherwise very well done for a first timer

A little dark, but could be my monitor.

If you're able to open up your lens a little bit to blur out that background that'd be the one change I'd make.

If thats not possible, they still look good to me

Wonderful first time out of the box!! Add another category to your list of photo accomplishments.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: recommendations??

Thanks for the feedback guys! I have creds for the entire season and will attend more games later for more practice.

I too wish the lens would open more, but was using an f/4. I have an assignment in Nashville next month, and hopefully will be able to get a Sigma 70-200 2.8 shortly after. The press box is right around 1st base, so it will be long enough for some ok shots. Perhaps a 300/400 2.8 next year...

    Thanks again for your thoughts.

Here's one last one. It would be my pick of the night, but light was getting bad, and it isn't as sharp as I hoped.
