    Day 1

Day 1 at the track was pretty uneventfull and not much going on. The only action was when Micheal Andrretti went out with full tanks and a car that was a bit too low, I'm amazed that he didn't crash as he bottomed out at around 216mph in turn 3.
My next trip to the track will probably spent mostly in the garage area.

I know it's your job to be there, yes I do envy your deal. What it brings to my mind is reading the book" Thirty Days in May" as a kid. There's nothing like "The 500"
    Enjoy the month!

Great start to an exciting month. I'm looking forward to your next editions.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

I take it the #39 car is Andrretti judging by the sparks coming from the bottom of the car?

Have you seen that Motorola/Jim Beam Honda up close? The version we saw for a product shot yesterday (yeah, I was in INDY and didn't get to the track) has one on those new 'trick' paint jobs.

    Love photog row!!

Yeah, that is a different paint job. I think I have a good on track shot of the "aluminum", that alone is pretty wild. It's the same up close too, but if you get the light just right on track you see it ery well, at least through the lens I may see more tomorrow as I got the body and lens cleaned today by Canon. They all laughed when the tech had to "get up" to clean it....it was a mess!
That photog row will be elbow to elbow come race day.
Did you see the Day 2 photos?
