70-300 Vr.

So I'm a working photojournalist and I also work at a camera store where we have the 70-300 VR. I was shooting it in the store today and it seems pretty rad for about 500 bucks (minus my discount).

I'd go with the 70-200 VR but I'm on a limited budget and don't have the cash.

I don't shoot sports, so slow speed is okay (daylight f/5.6 is fine).

Comments on shooting it professionally?

My reasoning is, if it does the job well and will hold up, anything can be used professionally
