I like it. I think you framed this very well, and captured the right moment as he is in deep concentration. Exposure is very good. Very good overall composition,Jurgen. Well done.

It's OK but I think it would be stronger if you had gotten closer in, showing more of his expression (eyes). Or a little less of a straight on angle.

Two edits here, one of them crazy. Somehow a black n white to color seems appropriate too.

GB,,,the problem here was the spraypainter was using "real" paint....I didn't have any protective clothing and definitely didn't want my 20D splattered with blue paint..As is was I was about a metre away from him..
BTW,,,your tight edit just doesn't work for me..

I thought the original photo was as tightly cropped as it needed to be. btw, I hope you had Jurgens permission to edit the images.

I didn't have permission, but figured from past exchanges that he wouldn't mind.

    Jurgen, did I offend you?

Btw, I think the ideal shot here, unattainable because of the issue you described, would have been a wide angle very close in to the car and just in front of the area he was sparying, looking back at him. Of course, your lens would catch a cloud of paint but I can envision a really neat shot like that.

I like the original the best, this is a great subject and I agree with Gary on the guys concentration. You are very good at capturing ones character. I really enjoy your people pictures.
