    Cool Be Water

Here are a couple photos taken last winter. The title came to mind soon after watching a Bruce Lee film. These images were taken with a Canon S1iS.The second photo was taken in Tungsten mode.

Critiques/advice welcome. I'm here to learn

    Re: Be Water

Rick, these are very nice, calming images.

1st image: I think that the reflected sky is a bit much - changing the shooting angle would have increased/decreased this. The crop is a bit wide IMO. Perhaps keying in on just the two main set of ripples would help.

2nd image: nice creativity with color. At first, I felt it needed a more central subject. But I found myself looking around the frame for a long time. Good job for making me/viewer do that. The DOF is a tad narrow as I would have liked to see the entire image sharp in a shot like this.

Here are a couple more experiments. Keep in mind this was a 3 M.p. camera.I can't wait to try this with my D80.

    Thanks again Loupey !!

The first one doesn't do much for me, it seems a little out of focus, but you make up for it with the second one. I really like the cobalt blue color. Nice capture....
