The many lies Washingtonians tell

1) It doesn't get very hot in Washington State
Reality: As I sat in 95 degree weather this summer, with no air conditioning, I had to wonder...

2) It rains all winter, but you hardly get wet because it's really more of a mist
Reality: As I watched houses being washed away, and heard we hit about 12" in November, that maybe I had misunderstood

3) It hardly ever snows outside of the higher elevations. It'll be rare to see snow in the Seattle area.

Besides heat, rain, cold, snow we have earthquakes and volcanoes.

Yeah, I live in Issaquah Highlands now. I watched the snowmobiles just riding on down the roads, and folks with skis shushing down to the coffee house. Too funny. But it was truly beautiful while it lasted.
