    4A Playoffs round 1

I got some better results. Still having color issues. I spent more time editing this week

The stripe on the Black unis is supposed to be gold, the numbers are white outlined with gold. If the color temp is off, the gold is impossible for me to get right.

    Any ideas?

You got some very nice action here and I love that expression you got on the linemen in #1. Your right about some color issues but since I have plenty of my own on black and gold uniforms I'll defer any suggestions to some of the pros here.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

From the look of the white and yellow highlights on the helmets, you're in trouble.
Is there mixed yellow (sodium) and white (mercury) and tungsten lighting on the field?

I have exactly the same problem shooting at the National Exhibition Centre when they have both kinds of light and skylights letting in daylight. Each image needs to be separately balanced depending on whether the white or yellow lights dominate. If there's daylight and flash involved too then I have given up

    Yeah, the bulbs are mixed.

I have been balancing each seperatly, but I ain't too happy with the results!

    Thanks for the input!

If the bulbs are pretty evenly spaced, and perhaps alternate yellow and white, then you will often find yellow highlights one side and white the other, or a white subject with yellow shadows.
It's going to be really hard to fix that, and when you use true daylight colour of your flash as well then the shadows there could be really awkward.
I don't think there is any easy answer to this mixed lighting if you happen to catch your subject between differnt lights.

Thats just wierd, having both types of bulbs. I have only run into that in gyms and my flash will normally handle those.
    Two fixes I know of:
Get them to use one or the other, not both
Use strobes - they should cancel out the tungstein bulbs if you set them up correctly. I know one guy who does that so thats how I knew about it. His strobes are not cheap, about $2,000 each, battery powered. You need some good sized strobes to work on a football field, and some strong batteries to last a whole game.
