I'm doing a show this weekend!

In Point Pleasant, NJ - I'm showing 9 images from my Forgotten Girl series...

The story behind the Forgotten Girl is people who have been ignored, forgotten, stepped on, stepped over, never picked, abused, withdrawn, insane, introverted... so trying to pick the images that most strongly depict that scenario is rough! I had a very patient model, the whole series was done with very slow shutter, low lighting and the sun was quickly going down. She was very good in listening to my direction - if she looked at me, it had to be a blank, almost insane stare, but when looking away she had to be blank or sad and lonely. Even when I had her walk away - I had her hold her upper body very still while keeping the bottom of her skirt in sweeping movements so I could achieve the fade.

Problem is, I am having the hardest time selecting the 9 images and I need to do the prints today! lol

OK, my favs are M4, MC1, and going away, although I wouldn't necessarily say these communicate what your trying to communicate best. They are just my faves.

Good luck Janie? (Were some of those taken on Sandy Hook? I feel like I've been there, but can't quite place where...)

I was born in Point Pleasant.
Where, exactly, is the show? (Feel free to email me...) - I've got a friend in Belmar who might be interested in stopping by and seeing the work.
