    3 in 1 - volleyball, soccer, football

After 4 months of not shooting any sports, the new season is finally kicking into gear. I found out the hard way how easily one's skills can atrophy as my shots from last week were utter garbage. But my results from the games this past weekend have provided me with some encouragement.

The vball shots were taken in our new gym, so any feedback on exposure and white balance would be much appreciated.

boost that saturation and throw some curves in there! hope you don't mind me playing around with the photos. also, watch your horizons. they look sloppy. other than that, great crisp shots.

not THAT much of a difference, but it does look more eye-catching, doesn't it?

I agree they could use some futher tweaking, and I need to calibrate my new monitor as well. The curves work pretty well, but I think its a bit oversaturated now; it prints out slightly hot for me.

I can never quite seem to stay aware of the horizons when I'm shooting, thats something I need to work on. Although occasionally a crooked horizon can add a bit of a dynamic feeling to the shot (depends on how crooked of course). I think it works well for the QB in the 3rd football photo. The lines of his arms and legs seem to clash with the background well. But it is annoying on most of the other shots.

On my monitor the adjusted version has lost detail in the legs, where the original had good detail in the whites - the original is better.

The saturation looks good, but is it right?
Was the grass really that green?
I'm always torn between a good looking photo and an accurate representation of what was there.
