Water Balloon Bust Between Innings
Took this last night. This is the first time for the impact of the bat on a water balloon.

Neat, you've caught it just as the swing goes through the water spray of the burst.

Re: Water Balloon Bust Between Innings
I'm sorry John. It is quite obvious that you hired Pixar or Dreamworks to creat this CGI. Even the boy looks like he was digitally rendered. Only CGI would make a very cool/fun shot like this possible.
Just kidding! Great shot!

cool timing, just wish the bg contributed to the shot...the catcher looking the opposite way ruins the BG. But cool, nonetheless.

Thanks Brent. The problem could be solved if I could convince them to reverse the position of the two people doing the thing, but you know how that is. Either that or do it in the outfield, but then I'd have to deal with billboards on the fences. I've been shooting these from one angle, so I am going to have to change what I can, and the angle of the shot would be it. Shooting from that other side though still brings the stands, and on-deck circle into play, so it's one of those damned if you do/don't deals.

Re: Water Balloon Bust Between Innings
Hey very cool shot John. Great timing. Not so sure I wouldn't just clone that catcher out of the pic and be done with it.

Thanks Larry. The team is using it on their website. I could probably clone him out. I might try it to see how it looks.

Re: Water Balloon Bust Between Innings
That is a fantastic shot!
As for the catcher I'd just turn him into background.

If I can get hooked up with a paper shooting sports, I KNOW you can. I don't even have a clue about any sport.

Wow. I gotta say that this is a good first picture to see on my return trip to PR. This is a great great shot.
