    Format question

I have been using .CR2 as my sarting format, then saving as .jpg level 12. From there I convert to a low res .jpg for web viewing. I was noticing the file sizes are very low (aroung 1-2 MB) on my saved .jpg files, and I am figuring thats too small for printing 8x10 and what not. What format should I save as in the second step, .psd or .tif? will those formats print? I ask because I do not have a printer yet, and I want to start saving my pics in the best format for printing now, so I can have some work to draw from once I get the printing capibility.

    Re: Format question

When converting RAW files I always save them in the large jpg and then when converting for web I resize then SAVE FOR WEB. The problem I have is emailing photos to the paper as I can't email files over 5MB so I have to lower the quality to send them.

You can print 8x10 with a 1 or 2 mb file if you do it right.
