    Ball Meets Bat

Going through some of Saturdays work I thought this one was interesting, especially the effect of the ball as it and the bat meet....something has to give.

    Thanks Everyone,
Hey John, you might really kill me if I told you the ONLY PS used on this was cropping, and resizing for the forum...no color or sharpening added/adjusted.

It was a long and tough day of shooting, and it started at 10am with the baseball game being postponed until noon. Then at 11am I had to shoot an Easter Egg Hunt....25 minute shoot, but I made it an hour, then went to the ball game, a double header. Left at 4:30 to dump my pictures then went and shot two basketball games. Done shooting at 10PM, spent another hour dumping pics. I was happy though with the way all the pictures came out color wise.

    The shot settings:

1D MKII N Canon 70-200 f2.8 1/5000 Shutter ISO 200 .....I'd say the lens is pretty darn sharp at f2.8...Until I saw the f2.8 I thought I had taken this with the 28-300 but I guess not.

Hard to get one better off the bat than this one. Nice going John!

    Re: Ball Meets Bat

Thanks OT, I appreciate it. I know one thing that would make it better....getting the batters face too.....but the angle wasn't the best to his face.
