    More Girls Softball

I shot these from the dugout.I was behind the batters accept the one lefty in the first pic. I spent a long time to get the strike shot (number 2) The Hometeams pitcher has a smoking pitch that is just about impossible to catch on film!

I usually follow the rule of 3rds, but on the last pic, I tried something different. I wanted to catch the shadow, the base and the runner too. Does it work? Im not sold on it yet.

I am shooting with a 5.6 lens (best I have right now) whats a good way to add blur to the background, like pic 1 needs?
My name is Scott, and I take pictures.

Nice job on that first shot, great timing. The other two don't do much. The middle one just doesn't work from behind the batter. The third one is OK if your shooting for a parent or a paper needs a "solo" shot of a player.
