    Above the Rim...

Here is one from last night's (Tuesday) Women's basketball game. This is probably my best shot of the evening. Halfway through the second half, I decided to move up to the gym's shelf/balcony area because I wasn't having much success from the baseline. This was near the end of the 2nd half.

Yeah, I noticed a few things, JS. One, the lighting was a little better since it was reflected off of the floor, and I didn't spectators or players blocking my shots.

Just making sure you noticed the added light! hmmm, I never have spectators blocking me at basketball...where are you shooting from? I always have a front row seat.

I shoot from the baseline. Because my school's gym is so small, the only way to get to the bleachers on the far side is to walk across the areas behind the baskets.

I don't think there is a lot of room for me to shoot from the bleachers, but I'll give it a try at the next game.

    Re: Above the Rim...

I am off tonight...snowed out! Argh....now the game is rescheduled for Tuesday night, at 7pm, and at 5pm Tuesday I have a swim meet....argh! This will be an interesting day, going from very cold into high humidity high heat, then back to the cold, then into a gym... thats good for a camera and lens.
Anyway tonights game would have been one where I shot from above and behind the basket. Last year I had a great shot through the backboard, problem was the wrong team had the ball lol. I really like shooting in that gym though, but it is always packed with rugrats running around everywhere! Parents need to put leashes on those kids!
I don't shoot too often fromm the bleachers, however it does give a different perspective, and some of my best action has come from there as well as the baseline.
