    Cross bike race.

    Hello!

I posted these up over at MTBR, and they got some ok comments. These two were my favorites of the bunch, especially the riders carrying their bikes into the sky.

    Any comments or suggestions?

The sun in the top shot kind of bothers me, I think I'd crop that one more towards the riders. The bottom one is ok though.

i feel like the bottom one is too soft of the riders. Plus, I don't like how we lose the detail in the legs. For the top shot, I'd like to see a bigger sample. I can't really make out details when it's posted small.

    Like Them Both

I like them both. You have a unique and interesting perspective in both images. But I think they could both be greatly improved with some more careful post-processing. Taking the picture is only the first step. They both look like you could pull a lot more shadow detail. Right now they're kind of flat and muted. I'm not saying you should try to make them look normally lit. I like the lighting. That's what the photos are about. But the riders could use a little more contrast, detail and saturation. If the originals are good, it shouldn't be a problem.

I think I might crop the sky a little in the second one. The image is out of balance. You might also try cropping the bottom more. See which one works better. Right now the riders and the sky are competing with each other too much.
