    Playing in the fountain

I snapped this while my son and I were walking with Eagle_Eye in downtown Chattanooga a few weekends ago. It turned out to be one of my favorites.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Nice pic Scott. I like how you composed this. It's difficult to read his expression but your son appears entertained yet bored at the same time. Love the moment in time appearance of the water. A very endearing shot. I would print it and frame it.

Great shot Scott. Nina covered up the thing about the face, very interesting expression. My one critique, on his arm playing with the water, it seems very bright and overexposed in my monitor. Other then that, great shot!

    Re: Playing in the fountain

I think this is a terrific shot Scott. I like the form and sparkle of the water and the absorbortion of the subject in his simple play. Good that you froze the water and arm.
We've all done this sometime in a fountain or lying on a pier, mesmerized by the motion and sound, and we connect with this shot and can nearly feel the water.
I'd think about a square crop taking off the right side to move the subject off center. What you are cropping off is repeated behind and to the left of the frame to continue to give a sense aof place.
    Nice work.

    Re: Playing in the fountain

Nina..........Thanks for the kind comments. As for my son, we had been walking for a couple of hours. Needless to say he was ready to call it a day!

Jared.........Thanks for the positive feedback! Yes I would like to retake this and correct the over exposed arm area.

Chunk...........Thanks for the positive comments. Yes, my son actually got caught up in the action and shapes of the water as we have all probably done as a kid.

    thanks,

    Scott
