    The Big Play

During Saturday's MTSU vs Arkansas State game one play stood out from all the rest. Mid way through the forth quarter (1) #11 broke one around the right end (2) just when you thought he might break it a State player got the angle on him and started to take him down (3) before his knee hit he found #20 trailing the play on the side line and shuffled a lateral to him (4) the pass was low but #20 went down to haul it in (5) he gathered it in and looked down field.

Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

And just in case you were wondering, it did result in a TD. Also for the record all these exposures were with the D700 and the MB-D10 at 8 fps, ISO 4000 with a shutter speed of 1/1000 and with the Nikkor 300mm f 4 set to f4.

Damn fine series of snaps. If I were a photo editor I'd probably go with number four. Did you have your butt on the turf when you snapped these? The low angle is nice.

Thanks again Chris. It helps to be short sometimes and it also helps to be in the right spot at the right time. It was a very exciting play.

Being low, working from the opposite side of the field and the crown in the field all added to the effect.

Great shots, Old Timer. However, I didn't expect to find you in the sports section.
