Well the season for my bro in laws team is winding down so they can start high school games. We left Disneyland early saturday morning so we could be home in time to get to the game. It was a great 3:30pm starting time, so the lighting went from great to terrible. Towards the end of the game & most of the second half, I had to deal with the stadium shadows on the field from the setting sun, but the sun reflecting off the silver bleachers in the background Here are a couple from that game:

Sending the ball upfield

Even though I cut off half of the player, this was one of my favorites

Then on Sunday morning I got up to shoot their 9am game. I'm really wishing I had the 300 F2.8 or 400 F2.8 so I could get the background OOF more. That F5.6 using the teleconverter is a drawback for some of these sports images.

We had one of the worst refs I have ever seen in all my years of playing & watching the game. Because of the ref, we lost 3-1. Two goals were directly caused by no-calls (handball in the box on the attacking player not called in front of the ref) being one of them, so it was a frustrating game. Even the other team couldn't believe this ref I'm glad that the teams didn't loose their composure and start playing dirty.

Enough of the rant, more of the pictures!

You'll probably see this guy on the U16 national team soon. The team has a couple state team players, and 2 regional players as well
